Just a heads up I may consider a Moneymatix as a replacement for my 1st generation Asian Racing Car after this season or maybe during if the price is right. Let me know if anyone is selling one in decent shape with lots of spares and hasn't been in a lot of carbon shattering accidents. Thanks.

Anyone know the date for the CARCAR AGM this year? Not sure if it's been announced yet.

Hello all

We are getting close to our AGM. Its Wednesday September 2 and 7pm at the HSC. We will have pizza and soda for everyone.

At this meeting, anyone can bring up a topic for discussion. If you would like to see something changed, or have an idea to improve the club, feel free to voice your opinion. A few club members have sent me private messages already with some great ideas. Feel free to send me a message if you feel more comfortable, and I can bring it up during the meeting.

We will also have memberships available after the meeting.

Also, carcar.ca is back up and running. A big thanks to Al for his hard work!

See you all Wednesday!

Hi guys.
I'd like to clear the air a little.
A couple of years ago when CARCAR first put down the subfloor there was quite a bit of discussion regarding the return of 12th scale on a sweet flat high grip surface. I think I was as excited as anyone about the prospect and contrary to many people's opinion I suggested to Brad that KARZ drop the class to fully support some quality racing at CARCAR.
I was then informed by a couple club members that I should not be promoting KARZ racing as a member of CARCAR. I'd just paid my club fees and done one Friday race. I think it was assumed that as the main promoter of 12th at KARZ prior to the subfloor going in that I was in some way trying to hurt CARCAR.
That was certainly not the case.

It's all good Kev... Room enough for 2 clubs in the city to run whatever classes they want. It is my hope that we run more 12 scale this year. I have suggested that we drop the heats to 5 min for club racing. We don't use as much foam and "others" won't complain about marshaling. Also might get more guys out. I would also like to see F1 and 12 scale rotated every 2 weeks, so people know when we are going to run it. I love my pan cars. Hope you can join us more this season.

Not sure who these club members are, but I couldn't disagree more with what they told you Kev. Anyone promoting any rc racing at any club is a positive thing. How people can consider promotion of one club as a detriment to another is just crazy, unless its a conflict in dates or something obvious like that. But promotion of a class?

Totally agree about the 5 min heats and final for 12th scale. Can we get a vote on this at the AGM?

That was a silly incident, Kev. Seems the clubs are going to be fine with whatever is run. There may be some overlap, but the "flavour" of the clubs is a little different and they're both good.

My biggest problem is convincing the wife that I need to be playing with toys car 4 days a week. May have to settle for 3.

5 minute 1/12 scale heats is sacrilege. I'll move aside while the pan car gods strike you from above.

I like 5 min in order to help move things along on race nights but it wouldn't prep our racers as well to run 8 min WCICS heats.
