For those that use the Front-one ways, do you recommend them?

thanks big al. One of my buddies sold his TC3 but kept some hop ups and this was one of them. I put it in my car to see how the car would handle. I read down below where some brakes should be taken off, I agree with that.
I haven't tried that Rear mount up front, is that the norm?
Thanks.

The rear tower up front allows more aggressive shock and camber positions, giving a lot more steering - this is needed if you run a locked front diff (locked diff takes away steering. . .)
It isn't the norm, but is becoming more and more accepted. TonyP has been running it for a while (since the Reedy Race preparations) and loves it. . .he actually thinks it's more consistent than using a one-way.
I'm running a one-way and am not all that sure I like it. I am real consistent when I am on my own and don't have to adjust my lines to get by people or to block people. . .if I have to do that I have some problems. The one-way likes a single line, pretty much. yeah, it's something of an exageration, but still, the one-way line is much less tolerant than a dual diff line.
I am going to move to the locked front setup this week. . .

I'd have to agree with yo boomer. On my previous tc's (mr4,axis2) the one way just never liked dodging traffic. They just seem to like flowing, open turns. I think you're really gonna like the rear tower up front. I tried it from the get go last weekend and never put the old tower back on. It was nice to pass on the inside while still accelerating!!

So when you say you have a locked front diff, that means that you have tightened the bolt so that the spring is fully compressed eg a solid front axle basically?
I have found that the rear shock tower on the front makes little difference with a std diff(not locked) at the front. It is a good idea though, because then you only need spares of rear shock towers!!

Has anyone tried the rear on front shock tower with the center one way?

Boomer: as i suspected, the previous owner of my fttc3 dint shim the gear cases properly. he dint have the shim on the long end of the front & rear diffs plus he had one too many in the front input shaft. i looked up josh cyrul's advise in tech talk on shimming the gear cases and i think i did a pretty good job. the gears feel really free now and spin very smoothly. hopefully this solves the noisy drivetrian issue. will find out this weekend when i put the car on the track again. thanks!
RandyB: the MF option rear hubs for the xxxs come only in 0 deg. the xxxs comes with bulit in toe-in in the rear of 2 deg and trinity probably dint feel the need to make optional rear hubs (only God knows why....). ive got a xxxs myself and when i wanna play about with the rear toe, i have to use the composite/graphite hubs since they come in varying degrees.

Boomer - let us know how the locked front diff works out. When you say locked you mean no diff action whatsoever correct, like a gear diff

Roborat, try a dab of losi white grease on the gears...
You will notice a big differents , most of the gear noise sould dissappear.....try some on the dog & drive shaft pins as well...
