I had a chance to run the EVO2 IIC car with the RFG in Mod and Stock. The car seems to have more rear traction mid corner and corner exit! The balance is near perfect now.
I ran the stock car with 48 pitch and no SD[x] without problems. Generally I would strip a gear on a hard hit, but this wasn't the case with the RFG. The Mod car was run with SD2.
If you want to view my mod run have a look here at 1:43.

Does anyone use the alloy chassis on their cars? I'm thinking of buy one as I like running my car with a stiff chassis

Looking at the alloy chassis myself. On the arms, I decided to go with normal style for now, as I don't know if any of the others are usable, and I'm working on the usual teething issues you get running a new chassis (particularly one bought 2nd hand that ran carpet), I think some of the issues may have been due to pre-existing damage I hadn't noted.

So what's the advantage of the alloy chassis?
I doubt it would make much difference to the centre of gravity as it already lower than a regular touring car.
Also how much heavier is the alloy chassis and brace than the carbon one?

And lowering the CG is really important. The awesomatix has an advantage over other cars with regard to this but why not gain an even further advantage by lowering the CG by .5 mm further by using the thin alloy version over the carbon version. At the big high grip races on carpet I've benefitted from not traction rolling or getting "tippy" while other cars struggle. That .5 mm across the entire chassis isn't trivial, imho.
