its half personal preference, and half road conditions. We run on carpet, and its a fine line before grip flipping. So i run mine as tight as possible, two reasons, i get max drive from both front tires on corner exit, and it also (i feel) reduces front grip a little. I throw it hard into corners, it takes changing your driving style. My brother and father run a little looser diffs, as i do want them to spin tires coming off corners. With the tight diff, the car usually pushes like crazy on corner exit too. so you have to 'point and shoot'. Looser diff will still steer where ever your steering, and will drop power to the front tire that has the least weight on it. So if your racing asphalt, id try it at different stages, hell id even try a few gear diffs with different oils in them (10,000, 5,000 etc). Again this is just personal preference.

at the recently concluded KLGP Race held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last weekend, the winner, Mr. David Jun of Tamiya TRF was using IP 4000mAh 25C+.

His car was blistering fast and the power of the LiPo battery was very consistent throughout the heat and final. The second spot was 2 laps behind. We had a 30-minute final in A-main. He used 2 packs of the IP.

Agree .. the IP4000 25C is a good lipo for Mini.

Since we are talking about LiPo in a mini, can you really feel the difference using a LiPo with higher capacity and discharge rate?

For the low amp consumption of a sport tuned motor and the actual load on the car, does C rating really matter?

More a combination with the capacity of the lipo. Higher capacity lipos "stretch" the discharge curve so that at the end of the race the higher capacty lipos are stil holding higher voltage than a lower capacity one

Mmmmmm ... such an open question. OK here goes:

1. Learn to drive Just joking
2. Steering Exponential . Turn it down
3. Tyres. Make sure you dont have too much grip up front
4. Which Mini to use? I know the Mini Net guys say it doesn't matter and they can win easily with a SWB but have you tried the LWB car. I find it easier
Try different set ups and see which works best for you. Someone elses setup will not always suit another driver

1. I do need to learn a bit with the mini as it is quite different to my touring car but on that rare occasion that my set up is right I do ok

2. I have played with it and I have that set

3. I have to use soft ride tires to get it not to flip if I use 36s like every one else it rolls big time

4. I will try the LWB

I have tried the all published setups for our track

I will try what you suggested

Soft ride on the front and rp36 rears is what I have to use to keep it from rolling but I have to "Bully" it to get it to go decent lap times and I have no idea were to start as I have only had decent tires for 3-4 months
