I watched Dakota Phend race his truck last night at AMS in Grand Blanc MI.

The Truck looked great, of course I think Dakota could make a Slash look good.

Here are A few observations.

It looked as if the truck had much better corner entry. Very agile throughout the corner but the entry looked so much better.

It also seemed to fly nicer.
I have watched him many times over the years and his truck always flew similar to every other losi but just with more control.
This truck is identifiable in the air. It looks so graceful.

Default which motor, esc, & LiPo combo + gearing for the new Ten-SCTE 2.0 kit?

I plan on getting the new Ten-SCTE 2.0 kit when it comes out this March 2013. What motor, esc, gearing, and LiPo batteries should I run?...

I was looking into the Castle MMP SCT 2400kv combo, as well as the Tenshock SC411 Hobbywing SCT Pro 120A combo.....Which of these two motor & esc combos should I get. If the Tenshock SC411 is better , then whick kv rating should I get for the Tenshock SC411? It comes in the 3500kv, 4000kv, 4600kv, and the 5200kv...

I was also looking to be running 3S LiPo, but, would 4S be better, or is 4S too much?

How should I gear the new Ten-SCTE 2.0 to keep the temperatures down? I will be running it in a short course RC track with tight turns, so I'm looking for fast acceleration instead of high top speeds because I don't need or want high top speeds....

All answers would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest you spend some time reading up a bit about this truck...
those are kinda noob questions.
these run on 2s to start with
all of your electronics choices are good but most would blow up with 4s batteries gearing depends on motor choice so cant answer that

Most run a 540 4 pole like tekin 4000 or 4600kv. Lately, hobbywing 4000.
This trucks are run on 2s and with those motors 13-15t pinion. Keep reading!

Seems fast and with decent torque. I've never used spektrum, but savox and hitec are really nice.

thanks Panda-PR.....I was reading the first 20 pages of the older 1.0 version Ten-SCTE thread, and I see members, like Casper, say 4.5 or 5.5 for the motors.....can someone elaborate which particular motors these 4.5 and 5.5 are? Are they the Novak brand 550 sized? If so, what esc should I use with them?..

I think you asked the same question at rcshortcourse.com.
If I were you I'd forget about 3S / 4S because you can't race with that, and it's absolute overkill. I'd buy the Hobbywing 3656SD 4000kv + SCT Pro combo, and 2 Gens Ace 7000mAh 2s2p batteries.
But you're probably thinking there is no such thing as too much power, and buy an insane 4S setup, find out you can't race, smash your car on a tree, and buy a new one with the new realization that maybe learning to drive is more important than having ridiculous power but no way to steer it.

thanks Pygmy.....yeah, I post my questions to other forums, hoping I will get as many answers as possible, so I can make an informed choice.....Will that Gens Ace 7000mAh 2s2p battery fit securely, using the stock battery mounts?..

The 6040 is a fast & reliable servo that will do great! They have been flawless in my scte and 22's since those vehicles came out.

I believe Dustin Evans used the 6040 to pilot his scte 2.0 to victory at the Rockies . The video was posted a couple pages back. I have one also, very nice servo along with savox. My top two for sure

Well my buddy with a SCTE 1.0 has convinced me to get into SCT racing and I just got myself put on the list at my LHS for the SCTE 2.0. I'm pretty excited to say the least. I see a lot of talk about power systems. I've used a lot of HW systems in my bashers but was thinking of the RX-8 but unsure on the motor. I might get the HW4K to tide me over until the Tekin Pro4 HD is released.

What is a good list of servo's to run? Also what are some good tires for typical indoor tracks and outdoor tracks? I have both around me here.

Servo's were just discussed above that post!

Locals at the track will be able to help you out with tires

Indoor typically is a Clay Panther Rattler, JC Gold barcode or Pro-line MC suburb type tire.

Outdoor depends on the type of dirt and how much loam is on top. (loose dirt).
