It depends though.. all firmwares are good. It's every driver's choice. Example : 119 has more parameters when compared with 224. So you can fine tune more on 119. I used 224 as suggested by others here too and I find it easier (dont know about others). So, have a try on both and maybe the 211 too. The choice is yours.
Cheers

1224 also has more total timing in the FW. This could be a good or a bad thing depending on the motor brand you are running. If your motor has alot of built in timing, then I would go with a 119, or 211 FW, and skip 1224. I have been trying to compare 211 with 1224 lately,

If you are having good success with 119, then I would recommend 211. It works really well, and is very flexable.

Default Xtreme Stock in 1/12th Scale

Hi, tried searching a bit but no real answer.

So the xtreme stock 60A works with 1s + external booster, but will it fit in a 1/12th scale (ok / very tight)?

If so is it with or without fan (I run boosted 17.5, 13.5)?

Oh and it's a 12R5 if it matters.

Thanks

TBH, out of all those software options I can count on one hand the number I've used... so not sure about bug fixes and the such like, maybe someone else might be able to help out there.

Regards
Ed

It will fit just fine, and you will notice that with a 17.5 boosted the ESC doesnt get warm, even without a fan. I have also used a 120A 1S ESC in my 1/12 scale car, and it fits fine, although is rather large and heavy for stock.

How about we settle for acouple of extra settings for the boost ramp (75 and 125rpm /step) And more actual timing (ie 1224) for 1S Applicatons (1/12 and WGT)

I would still also like to see a 1S XtremeStock. The 120A 1S is a nice ESC, but is way to heavy for 1/12 racing.

You've once mentioned that you like to set your gearing on the heavy side, and use the torque of the engine. I can then imagine you would like those extra settings. But you should really try to lower your roll-out. (gear lighter)
I drive around 60mm roll-out with my 13.5T/1S Lipo 12th scale and i drive around 45mm with my 10.5T/2S Lipo Pro10. With the HW 10.5T in a Pro10 your roll out is even somewhere between 36-38mm, because they like to scream.

With a lower roll out, choose a milder acc ramp, and you're fine again.

Also FW 1224 is not only about more total timing, I reached the same speed with FW 211, but with 1224 I have a lot more punch!, mind you, I'm talking about 12th scale.

In my Pro10, I have set punch to 3, and with 18 boost, 6 turbo, 5000 start rpm, 600 acc ramp, my car reaches 100kmh!

I agree the footprint is a bit big, and indeed you can run it without the fan and cooling block.
A 60A 1S would be enough for stock racing up to 10.5T, if you go modified, I don't know!

The extreme stock with 1S booster build in, would be a nice solution I think!

I know I've been telling about my problems with HW's finest in this thread, but allow me just once to hijack the thread and show what it's all about!
The 1/5 RC Bike I use, a Thunder Tiger SB-5, with the Xerun 60A now, a Nosram Pure Evo (X12) 17.5T, Gens Ace 5000/50C batteries and that's it!
This afternoon I got my new fairing painted by my friend NicAnd (not sure if he writes here, at RCtech, too!), who did this job using JUST TWO stickers: My name in silver at the top of the fairing. Everything else is painted on the inside. The logos belong to my sponsors, the Greek (real!) motorcycle magazine MOTO!
Enjoy:

more pics here: http://www.steliosh.net/rcmoto/tt_sb...int/index.html

End of off topic!

Thanks for your understanding! I m just very happy that the bike works so nicely and it also looks fabulous!!!
