i have another question reg the bulkheads....... i have read some issues about getting the wrong bulkhead how would i know if the bulkhead is the right one?


does anyone know where can i get delrin diffs for this car?

see that you're from PI..best source for parts is HK. try Precision RC or RcModel. I don't see any parts from RainbowTen in Japan yet...they're usually first to get parts.

rc-champ.co.jp have most if not all the parts in stock, and are a lot cheaper than the hk stores for hpi parts in general

I find them difficult to order from... plus they charge tax, paypal fees, etc.
so you're not really saving a whole lot.

Something left over from my Pro2 and Pro3..
diff covers... they help seal out dirt and grime from getting into the diff. very usefull if you're racing in dusty conditions. Atlas originally made them... but I cut my own with a circle cutter on some HPI flexible vinyle cf sheets.

and for those looking for .5mm washers..look in your parts box..some of those black washers sitting in there are .5mm

How do they attach to the diff, a tight fit to the out drives?

I have just about finished my cyclone off, and after looking at 415's at TCS on the weekend alot of the part sare very similar in design.

Some 415 parts even will fit on the Cyclone.

At least the rear belt and the fixed centerdrive pulley.
At one race I also saw 415 MS and Cyclone shocktowers bolted together so you could see hole positions were the same. But this was with the prototyp, donīt know if this is the same with the production car.

In case you guys need part numbers - one of the tech guys at Mirage (HB UK distributor) pieced together this info:

I pieced together the parts needed to build a front diff for the Cyclone should anyone want to build one instead of the One-Way:

HPA166 - Thrust Race
HPA165 - Preload Spring
HPZ203 - Washer
HB70715 - Outdrive
HP72105 - Diff Ring
HPZ857 - Washer
HPB020 - Bearing
HPA495 - Diff Pulley
HPA157 or HP75033 - Diff Balls. The latter part number are Ceramic
HP73522 - Diff Screw and T Nut from Hara Pro 4

Other useful bits:

HB70725 - Locked Centre Pulley (the car comes with a centre one way - may be easier to get than the 415 part, plus the colour matches! )
HPZ815 - According to the manual you need to use this washer if you are using a KO servo.
HPA302 - Hard Ball End. They include them for the camber links but not the steering ones.
HPA301 - Hard Ball End. Same as above but for the link from the bellcrank to the servo.
HP30004 & HP50432 - Shock Preload collars and O Rings from the Pro4. The kit collars don't have any provision for an O ring in them. And the Pro4 ones are purple...

they are like decals...they stick to the edge of the diff gear. keeps the diff clean and less frequent diff rebuilding and maintenance.

I already built another diff and
I found that building the diff with 2 bearings was smoother than the what the manual says to do with spacer/bearing/spacer set-up.
