Nice Pics Darkside. I really like your nephew's light blue Mustang. In your group car photo the touring car bodies really look plain and boring compared to the vintage. Not knocking anyone's car, just saying that the realistic looking VTA cars just blow away those generic looking TC bodies we run today.

yeah we had a couple of guys trying to get into the class..and they were wondering whats the big difference was..I told them $$$$$ 1st and then I showed them some of my TC bodies(that are really nice) and asked them to tell me what it is?...lol...then they saw the TA bodies...they got the picture
Im very into painting these bodies now...at !st I hated painting bodies...but since I can make these look like "REAL" cars its nice to see some hard work shine....

Masking tape. Lay it on a piece of glass, cut off the outside 1/4 inch with a razor and a straightedge, then cut one long one for the wide parts and make the wide pieces for the front and the back the same length- it cuts really easy on the glass.
Then cut more tape as narrow as necessary for the straight pinstripe parts. Once they are down I cut 3/8 inch tape squares and put them over the corners and cut the corners freehand. Turns out pretty good and the tape doesn't lift.

Vintage TA is initial class that hooked me out of RC racing retirement. Saw a couple of vids over on Youtube, checked out a local forum and found out a class will be starting near my area, and the rest is history. This is one great class! As true to scale as it gets when it comes to on-road rc. Its the spec rules standards, and philosophy that hooked me the most. Close racing, solid class, and affordable ... Can't beat that!
