I have a quick question, do I need to use a larger insider diameter fuel line then what 1/10 scale cars run?

You will want to use Losi fuel tubing in all of Losi's 8th scale tanks.

Personally I use the Losi fuel tubing because it doesn't allow it to slide into the tank or pull out and get stuck inside the tank. Most other brands are too thin and allow this to happen. Some aren't but most are.

Really stupid question. I was building my shocks and then put the front shocks on, forgetting about the washer that goes in between the shock cap, shock standoff/black spacer, and nut. So I tightened the nut down too much to the point where the nut ran out of threads! I can turn the nut left and right, but there is no threads to grab onto. Ive tried using a set of flat head screwdrivers and the wrench to pry it off while unscrewing it, but no luck. Any advice on what I need to do? And if I cant get it to unscrew, will the extra space between the shock standoff/black spacer and nut cause any negative effects on handling, like being looser in the front?

Cut the nut off with a cut off wheel being real careful to not touch the threads of the standoff ?

So bascially what you are saying is there is no possible way to get the screw out? Someone told me I can get this screw at a local hardware store - true?

Cut the nut off as Integra mentioned . Since your LHS doesn`t have a nut you can get them at a hardware store . The nut is a 4-40 nylon locknut .

Default Standard Tools?

Hi everyone,

I just bought a Losi 1.0 kit and was hoping someone can tell me what screw needs what tool?

I want to buy hex tools but I come from a metric background and the screw names make no sense to me, like for example does a 2-56x1/4'' screw use a 0.050'' tool???

If someone can please list me all the tools that are needed for this kit along with the screws it goes into.

Thanks!

P.S. I come from 14yrs of Kyosho Infernos and after seeing the ridiculous price of the MP9, and knowing that today there are other truly great cars, I finally decided to part with Kyoshos....and after a lot of research I found the Losi to be the best option by far!! It's design is so advanced and you really can't beat the price it's being sold for ($299!!!)...hopefully my throttle servo won't be an issue

Lookin forward to be a part of your community gentlemen.

+1 on the Losi hex drivers. Won a set at a race 3 years ago and wouldn't trade for anything on the market. You are also going to want a 1.5 mm hex driver (just get a cheap one for what you're going to do with it) and some 3 mm set screws. There are holes on the underside of the a-arm beneath the screws that attach the shock eyelet to the arm. After you attach the shock, run a 3mm set screw into the hole until it just snugs up against the screw. This will keep the screw from backing out. There are other ways, but that's the easiest.
