To those who are using Novak C2/TC2 ESC's, where did you put the humongous power cap on the chassis? Thanks.

I shoeGoo'ed it to the back of the Speedo case. It sits between the chassis tub & the speedo. It is there...and isnt going to move.

Make sure there is enough space between the motor and the speedo too. I have mine mounted so that the CAP has just enough space to sit on the top of the chassis "rail" and the speedo case.

on top of the lexan spur gear cover: first take all the cover screws out. then clean the lexan and the top of the chassis tunnel with motor spray. then place a piece of servo tape (losi tape is the best: the thin stuff) where the 2 screws used to go covering the holes(you won't need them). then put the lexan back where it used to be(pressing firmly). then place another piece of servo tape on top of the lexan going back to the rear tower. put the power cap on the front most part of the servo tape to keep it in place. now you have a hinged servo cover and a home for your power cap.

If you have it on your gear cover then are you soldering the cap to the Battery wires or did you extend the wire from the cap to connect to your speed controller? My wires on the cap are very short. and if I did that I would have to find really small wire to run it to my lrp quantum. I am glad I don't have to use it because I run stock. I do however want to rig the cap up so that I can have like a male and female small cennector so that when I race stock I can unplug the connector from the speed controller to the cap and when I run mod I can plug them together.

Anyone:
I race indoors on carpet with foams. I need to know how much to trim the shock shafts up front and the plastic shock end??

Also I will get the Losi threaded shock bodies for the rear of the car, but should I wait for the short shock bodies for the front or will it not make a difference compared to the regular threaded bodies?

Anyone know the part number for the Trinity blue shock collars?

MDawson: what is the part number for that heatsink?

What bodies are you guys running indoors? I have a Vauxhal Opel now but I also might get a Protoform Stratus or Andy's carpet Stratus.

Can you run the belt all the way loose in stock without it slipping?

Thanks everyone.

Check the post on talk-tech. I bought the heatsink for my old SW.

As far as the belt, you can get away with 3-5mm of sag between the rear diff and spur.

Been running them since I got the car. A must have for fine-tuning.

As far as the shock shafts, cutting the threads is a definate improvement in getting good dampening.

Ty,

The Cyrul shock shafts are .100 shorter than the Losi shafts. The shock bodies are .080 shorter. Do nothing with the lower shock mount.
