Nice video! The cars appeared to be rock steady, very stable. I didn't see any spin outs .

The only spin out I saw was the car in front of SNR. lol

The DM-1 looked pretty good out on the track and with all the cars being similar in power it made for some good racing.

Thanks for the great video. Seeing the cars in action upped my interest. I really like the scale look and driving style of the cars. Looks fun.

did you guys run the rubber kit tires of foam tires? How was the surface prepped? High, med or low traction? The cars look really good in that video clip. Is there any footage looking down from the drivers stand?

"I am just saying that i dont know why we need a new class, when we should strive to make what we already have more affordable. "--- EXACTLY, there are already enough classes. I hate to say it but spec racing is the way to fix the costs. Like in 1/8th, you could use a cheaper motor such as o.s., and have a spec tire. Clubs could buy a BUNCH of spec tires as a group and save. The problem lies in that once you are in the hobby, you end up wanting to go faster, so spec racing is out the window again........... You CANT get into 1/8th for 1,000.00!, thats ridiculous. I have been in RC since i was 12 and am now 33 and can finally afford the Serp. 960, M11, Novarossi 21, etc. Comes back to speed costs money. Its an expensive hobby sure, but so is cocaine........................................

Foam tires are used on all DM 1's, and the traction is medium high.

Anyone have a picture of a tire truer to true the 17mm buggy foam tires. The tires seem too large for a hudy Tire truer, so I figure some type of mod must be done to a tire truer to make the 17mm foam tires fit.

Default Ofna DM1

I watched these DM1 cars run at Revelation Raceway last weekend and was very impressed with the way the handled, and also the performance.
The Ofna crew really put on a great show.

We use the maual truer...To clear the the larger tire we actually move the motor assembly away from the bit.

Hi guys. I saw the DM1's run at the last club race in Revelation and found them fun to watch. The onroad club racing in SV Speedway here in Sun Valley, CA has been kinda dead. Myself and some of the locals are trying to change that. So we're organizing an on road race this Saturday, 11/25/06. Nothing special, it'll be just like a club race with 1/8th and 1/10th nitro onroad. SV Speedway (aka KZ Speedway) has a big onroad track. We would love to see the DM 1's out there this Saturday.

There are a couple of guys who run the OFNA Ultra GTP's here at SV (on rubber tires). It would be interesting and fun to see the DM 1's make a presence here at SV Speedway. Sorry if this is too short of a notice, considering the holiday weekend and all. But if you guys show up this saturday, we'll open up a DM 1 class for you.

Racing starts @ 11:00am, $15.00 per entry.

SV Speedway: 8295 Tujunga Ave., Sun Valley, CA 91352

Thanks,
Kelvin
