Non-HB Wheels
I don't know if this has been answered yet, but what wheels do you all suggest? HB wheels for this car are not always available at my LHS and I need a contingency. I have always liked DE Racing wheels but they do not make anything specifically for the D413. Will another buggy's wheels fit and if so, which one's?

The front losi 22-4 wheel should fit from what I remember.
Call DE, the guy is super helpful and I'm sure he'll get you the right part numbers. I had a very good experience with them and if not buying factory white wheels, they have my business.

Alright so I get to run it for the first time today. I have currently installed the Exotek spring perch all around, I went with the 15°casters for running on carpet, and the steering rack, spur gear not installed, I'll wait for the stock to go out if ever.
Now to my question, I really like the thought of the motor split plates for easy diff access (love Team Durango easy access designs). But it seems that easier access is already available via the exotek chassis. If I get the chassis would it make the motor plate parts irrelevant? Thoughts? Pros Cons? Or get both?

For the wheel question I run B6 offset wheels rear, and 22-4 12mm hex wheels front and they work fine.
I have both the chassis and mounts and personally I would say get split diffs if you plan to run a chassis protector. that is one less thing you have to try to remove to get to the diffs. I also find it easier to line up the center dog bones without trying to screw in the diff from the bottom.
So got another race night in the books, a guy who mainly runs FPV quads quite well ran with a D413 and I believe a 13.5 motor as well and ended up winning it all. My setup felt a bit tippy as the tires I used were took grippy at times and others was loose in the rear. Rear just didn't transition quite like I wanted smoothly. As we were moving pretty fast with the heats I didn't have time to switch and just went with it. Took 4th.
All in all though the vehicle still performs. I did notice a weird donkey kick off a certain jump I had not seen before that i may look into addressing.
I am running VRP 3 x 1.3 pistons all around, I am thinking though of trying the 2 x 1.6 and 2 x 1.7 setup for a bit better grip due to how bumpy it is.

I am liking it just from the fact those darn top bracing plates aren't used

I would stick with the wheels that have a deep insert in the middle so the axle doesn't stick out so far . Not to mention the ones where there isn't a deep insert in the middle of the wheel the offset is more narrow im pretty sure i noticed a handleing difference . Now if you use Evo Front wheels or Rear you don't have a choice .

I would stick with the wheels that have a deep insert in the middle so the axle doesn't stick out so far . Not to mention the ones where there isn't a deep insert in the middle of the wheel the offset is more narrow im pretty sure i noticed a handleing difference . so got some more runs in, trying a different motor and wow she is a beast for 13.5 .
I need to change my setup for sure, I am liking my daughters one i put on hers so will probably start with that. The biggest change will be the pistons, using VRP 3 x 1.3s but she just feels a hair too inconsistent for our conditions here. Probably just sell em.
She is running 10-200-7 versus my 10-200-5, a longer wheel base setup, and different shock pistons (1.6 2 hole front, 1.7 2 hole rear) and her car felt really good. Chassis is still schelle graphite but very curious to try out the changes on mine.
Anyway, my daughter managed to snap the ball stud going into the Exotek steering rack. It looks like the stud could be threaded out from the other end, any tips on doing that? plan to heat it up to break any threadlock bonds and then go from there.
