you can not buy anymore hpi products, how many classes are you going to run at the hpi races?

I'm also trying to track down a stock micro chassis - since I think that will be the only micro class at Ray's this year...well the only class that might have a decent turnout Plus the lipo and BL was insane last year and it would be cool to run 10 or 20 micros again instead of just barely 7 or 8

yeah, I have a nice stock micro chassis with a front ball diff. I would also like another cyclone chassis so I can retire my blue cyclone chassis, maybe the new TC if I could find one.

YEah, the new TC is sweet - but out of my price range right now I love the "black" cyclone I ran last year - so much so, I think I'd move away from Tamiya and run HB only

that BMI setup is trash, i dumped that junk and got some genuine HB 3.6mm parts to stiffen the car up for foam tire use. the BMI kit made the passenger side rear CVD bind and it forced you to use T2 rear hinge pins. As soon as I put the genuine parts on the car felt sooooooo nice!
Yea you and Scotty need to knock them off
dust covers
Where can I get Dust covers to purchase for the cyclone TC?

Hey guys, help a newbie out. I run my cyclone at a high traction carpet track, with rubber tires(sorex 28`s) car keeps traction rolling. I`ll keep it short and sweet, should I stiffen up the suspension or try different tires?

First things first you need to make sure your car is in balance from left to right. This can be a real serious issue for traction rolling if you are typically only traction rolling on one side of the car. Next I would add sway bars to the car to try and reduce the chassis roll. After that I would raise the roll center both under the blocks and under the inside camber links.

Artwork, the car is pretty close to being balanced. I was running the thickest(1.6?)sway bar up front with none in the rear, I`ll try the 1.4 swaybar in the back next weekend. If that doesn`t do it I`ll try raising the roll center. Thx.

Are you sure its not a case of just having way too much initial steering?
You could try removing the shims for the ackerman (you will probably need diffferent, shorter, ball studs), lengthen the wheelbase and change the front pivot block to a zero.

Mangoman, that`s something I`ll have to look into and try it out. Thx. Wish I was at the track, could be trying out these suggestions rather then bench racing
