JFT 1/12 tires
#17
Both Dave Spashett and Ollie Payne used S35 front and rear at Chesterfield this weekend.

What class? 13.5 or 17.5 I would say Green rear and Blue fronts. In my testing BSR Green rear and Blue fronts were faster, but not all CRC grey carpet is created equal. We have since moved to CRC Black and the S compound works great.

JFT makes rear C25 yellow, C30 green and C35 light blue.
Front C30, C35 and C40 dark blue
I run mostly 13.5 and use C25 rear C30 front when traction is low on our old CRC grey.
Rear S25 yellow and frt C30 green work almost as good.
I also like A32 magenta fronts with S or C25 yellow rears or C30 when the bite comes up.
S30 or S35 will work for 6 laps and then get tacky and become undrivable, like C.T. posted.

Not from my knowledge. Jft C compound has only been available from JFT from my knowledge, even my Japanese buddy had never seen them before here. JFT is not very popular in Japan because they are expensive over there. Most people mount their own foam in Japan in his part of the country.

My fastest lap times were on the CRC spec tires after being told they wouldn't work. I typically run CRC greylows in the rear and chromes in the front. My tires haven't gotten tacky as far as I can remember, but it's been awhile since I've been able to drive my 1/12 unfortunately. Looking to get a bunch of different tires and seeing what works!

I see that JFT has released a new compound, the 'R'. Does anyone have any info on this? Still looking for a compound that works well, tried the 'C', and it just got very gummy, was great for the first minute, but after that, undrivable. This is for the grey CRC carpet, using SXT 3.0. Is there a different odorless sauce that works better with these tires maybe?
