.28's are fuel hogs, and the power is usually unuseable. .21 youll have plenty of power and good fuel economy to boot

Yup, that's it! I have no exp. running a B5 in a trug but, in my bugg, its plenty. Many people have had good results in a trugg with it, I would go 2013 on thepipe though.

That price range seems a little more affordable for me since this is my first 1/8 nitro. Should I get extra clutch springs as well or should they last me a while?

If you can't afford the 2013 pipe, you could settle for a dynamite 053.

The B5 is a lot more motor for not a lot more money. The nova is decent, but in stock form, it can be a bit underpowered for a truggy. They are also a bear to break in, so that might not be the best thing for a nitro beginner.

what about rb engines are they a bear to break in ? i did have a nova .21 bf it wasnt real hard to break, in but sometimes it was a pain.
i just got the hobby 9 5 port for the truggy.
