Default Problem with 110 and 107 software

Hi,

have SP GT 2.0 LPF ESC and SP V3 17.5 motor. When I load 110 or 107 software short cogging hears from motor. When I use 323a there is no cogging. Also cogging is with Novak 10.5 SS Pro motor and with different sensor cable. With Tekin RS Pro there is no cogging with motor.

Is there any simple solution for my problem?

Thank you.

FYI to all those wondering..

We are making great progress with the latest SW we are testing. We have been testing for 2 weeks and improved my laps from a 12.5 to 11.0. It's all software. A 1.5 second improvement is pretty awesome if you ask me. I think a few more tweaks on the track and we will be right there with the Tekins and LRP's. Im excited.

audriusv and others seeking set up help:
Please post your current set up so we can help you answer your questions faster such as:
Car
ESC Settings
Battery
Motor/Turns
track size/surface if applicable

Once you list that info, we can better answer your questions. A lot of times, it is a simple fix like having yourt DDRS too low, or your battery wasn't fully charged. Regardless, post your info so it is easier and quicker to asses your issues.

Thanx.

I know everyone would like to hear "for 17.5, start at 6.37FDR", but unfortunately there are so many large variances in track size, surface grip, software settings and etc, it's just not possible. With the last 107 and 110 versions we had team drivers running from 2.5FDR to 7.0FDR, and each to their liking!
Shawn thanks for that.. shall be testing 731 today

Geubes, it would be hard to give you the basic setup for each motor run though the world..

My rules for gear start with using the software defaults when installed, then start with the gearing advised by most motors instruction.
There is normally a ball park starting point included.

Then test temp and go from there.. Over gearing gives you load of speed however the car can be sometime a little inconstant so rockets are not quick over a race distance.

More info:
Car - WGT CRC GenX 10
ESC Settings - any - trying highest and lowest settings, default settings...
Battery - 2S LiPo
Motor/Turns - SP V3 17.5 with timing all way up or all way down or middle...
track size/surface if applicable - high grip carpet 25/8m.

Well maybe it is not cogging (but it looks like something with motor rotation), it is some weird sound for short time on very narrow speed stick movement. But with 323a there is no such effect...

Ok..i have had this happen to me with the 107 and 110 software as low speeds as well. What are you geared? I did notice if you are slightly geared too high, this happens. It doesn't really hurt or hinder your performance, just can be annoying to listen to. It is basically deciding if the esc should give more power to the motor or not, giving a smile millisecond of hesitation. Try gearing down a couple of teeth and see if it still does it. Again, it is nothing bad, just a little nuisance. Also make sure there are not other factors like bad wheel bearings, motor bearings, etc. Ya never know.

But if I stop speed stick movement in that place that sound lasts until I change stick position up or down...

I understand. I only had this issue with the 107 and the 110. I think it is because there might be a hiccup somewhere in the bottom end as it ramps up to the higher RPM. This was not an issue with the 312 or 323. I believe this is also due to the 107 and 110 have more power and rpm up top and less on the bottom end.

Just the fact that now the software is MORE adjustable now is a step in the right direction. Stay Tuned!
