Well thats going to be a tough call since the kyosho buggy is not yet available. The xray is a very good buggy and kyoshos soon to be released mp9 looks very promising as well. Your best bet would be to just wait till the k-car is released and try to drive both.

Well you see personnelly I prefer purple

I find purple to be much faster and handle better than either red or blue

purple is also the best made and constructed

Just my opinion I'm sure it'll help

I think they both would be good, I personally dont drive good enough to justify the sky high price of the MP9. I have a used Xray XB8EC and I cant drive it up to its potential consistantly. I used to think, man if I had this or that, I'd be on the podium all the time. I'm older now and MAYBE a little wiser. Enough to know that I wasted alot of money doin that jazz. Both are pricey, the Kyosho is 100 or more higher, from what I've heard and I dont see how its justified. An article/interview in this months R/C Car magazine states how he had it built in Japan instead of China or Korea to keep control of manufacturing. Smart guy, I sure quality will be better not beiing built in China. But he admits it drove the price up too, he didnt care, because thats what he wanted. If I could buy one of these cars, I'd get the 808. Super quality , tuneable/tweakable more than I will ever need and flat azz tough as nails!! Parts availability on both is not as good as an Ofna or 8ight or AE, but not too bad.

Well since no-one has a MP9 no-one can give you an answer. If you not in a hurry than wait 3 weeks for the world championship to see how the MP9 goes

I also think its premature. There is a new Mugen coming, and I have been following the Hyper 9 since its concept and that may also be a great buggy. I myself was having this same problem as you a couple of months ago, and I couldn't wait any more so I went with the Xray 808, and I am very happy I did. It went together with ease, and the support and race results speak for themselves. In my opinion as far as quality to price, to value to excellence the 808 is a no-brainer

LOL, lets all recommend buggies that are not released yet. I think you should go for the Hyper 12. I hear it can fly, and you can Phuck it. Should be out in 2017.

They are both overpriced bs! Get an RC8 or 8ight and be done with it Xray will have/need a new car in 6 months and Kyosho is a wood screw you know what

Oh no... not another one of these threads!

Unless there's a new car to copy, Xray won't have anything new. BTW, the MP9 doesn't have any wood screws - check out the latest issue of RC Car Magazine. Buy the cheaper cars if you don't mind spending another $400 in replacement and aftermarket parts.

Did Kyosho finally do away with wood screws? Maybe they will even back there screws up with a nut The Xray is a beautiful car! But, for $650.00 it needs to have a decent bearing kit. The RC8 or 8ight do not "need" any upgrades to be competitive. You can buy lots of tires and fuel for the $500.00 you would save over the cost of the Kyosho. Or $200.00 if you buy an Xray.

Buy the one you really want, you'll rarely be content going with something that wasn't your prime choice just because it was cheaper or something.
