uhh, I just finished the build on my car so the droop screws haven't been turned down any and my front shocks measure around 106mm and my rears are around 121mm. Measure them from the top of the shock cap to the bottom of the shock end.

Patrick-The correct way to measure them if from center of the screw on the top of the shock, to center of the screw on the bottom of the shock.

Once i set mine up correct, i havent had any problems, i have it set with little throw, but the carb still opens full, and brake throw is the same way, and stops the car quick with little strain on the servo..I may just be lucky tho!

i know alot of people seem to recommend the tko ceramic metal shielded bearings, but has anybody used avid bearings in their clutches? they have rubber shielded (rubber on one side w/metal shield on the other) clutch bearings for a buck each. anybody know how they hold up as opposed to the tko ceramic bearings?

while the avid's are $1.00 each, the tko's are $5.00 each.....big price difference. is there a $4.00 per bearing performance/life span gain with the tko's?

i had a set of avid clutch bearings in my xray for 2 gallons before i had to change them, and they were still good, just figured after 2 gallons i would change them. i am running them in my 8ight right now and they have about 1/2 a gallon on them and are still going strong.

hey guys,

i was wondering if anybody has had any issues with the fuel tank that comes with the kit? this is the first tank i've come across with the floating pickup, and i'm not totally convinced. are there any conventional type aftermarket tanks available, or can anyone convince us of the benefits of the floating pickup?

Ringo, The floating pick up works great and is made to drop to the top of the tank during a roll over so you can sit upside down for a while until the marshall gets to you...... I think it works well and I have no complaints...hope this helps

I like the tank design . No more running out of fuel if a marshall doesn1t get to you fast enough . I actually had a servo go bad in my 8ight during practice and didn`t have time to change it . Ended up racing my Hyper 8 instead and the bug ended on two wheels during a heat and I ran out before the marshal got to me . If that was the 8ight I wouldn`t of had that problem . So ya it works good and a great idea .

In addition to my 8ight, I've had countless airplanes with the same style fuel pick up. They work very well, and when I run my 8ight completely out, there's hardly a drop left in it...the stock tank is very effective.

I am having a problem with the rear diff on my 8ight I put it together and the pinion does not spin smoothly and i dont know why?It is like the gear mesh is not right but there is not really any way to adjust it.Has any one else had this problem any help would be appreciated. thanks mike

I had the same thing with the front . Just needs to be broke in like Losi states the diffs need to be broke in .

Hey guys,

For those of you that are using the Mugen BII starter box did you guys do any dremel work to the chassis or just line it up and go? I really don't want to dremel on the chassis if I don't have to. At first glance it doesn't look like the starter wheel will get far enough up in the chassis to contact the flywheel. Any help would be appreciated.
