Hope TEAM PRP will come up with the upper deck soon for the TC3, I heard from previous post that he is developing an upper deck!!!!

TEAM PRP: Ben when will be the upper deck be out for the TC3?

Here is the correct Website for K.Models Factory Racing, sorry its in Japanese only, I tried using ALTA VISTA but still could not understand. Enjoy the view

That sucks. It looks pretty simple to make. I'll have to "encourage" Ben to make one next time I see him.

Smile Shims under rear shock tower

Hello all you TC3 mad heads

Could anyone please tell me why some of the team drivers are putting shims under the rear shock tower and what efect this has on the car?

Many thanks

Placing shims under the rear tower will raise the camber link mount holes. Raising (and lengthening) the camber link mount location on the rear tower will increase rear traction but reduce side-to-side stability.

If you raise the rear arm mounts equal with the rear tower, you will keep the standard camber gain properties of the stock suspension geometry but raise the rear roll center. It's hard to determine the purpose without knowing any other modifications to the rear suspension.

Need a little help. I need more rear end traction. I'm running on Carpet. I'm pretty much running Bakers setup out of the magazine. Rear tower on front, spool and all of that. The front end hooks up great, but the rear end want to slide around in the middle and exits of the turns when I get back on the throttle. Any thoughts of suggestions will get greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Setup

Front
Blue springs40 weight
Top middle hole
bottom arm out side
camber links long
F-0 plate or Block

Rear
Silver
35 weight
Top inner
bottom out (old arm) one hole
links long
short wheelbase
R+3+2 plate

Batt rear, Take Off 27 tires

The only thing I can think of doing is going to the green spring in the rear or trying some Sorex28 tires with green and red inserts.
A softer insert would help rear traction correct?
I'm at my whits end with this thing. I can't really do anything else to make the car hook up in the rear that I haven't already tried. It sucks because my car isn't the fastest, but I'm mostly finishing 4th or 5th. If I could get the car to hook up better in the rear I could win some races.

try adding 1mm of droop to the front end and/or lower rear roll center.

It seems like you are way too light on oil and springs for carpet.
Try 60 wieght with #3 pistons and copper springs in front and 40 weight with #3 pistons and red or gold springs on the rear.

Have you guys seen the new drive shaft from Yokomo for the TC3? Combination graphite and aluminum... best of both worlds.

If I run heavier oil then it would hook up worse correct. You want lighter oil and springs to make the car hook up. It could be rolling too much though... My droop is the same as when you build the car.

Anyone run the Sorex 24s on carpet?
