1) Most shops balk at having to get setup with yet another distributor.
2) Most shops carry certain brands and don't have the funds...

Alpha did have me contact the shops that had engines in stock from the last order and request they send the engines back for inspection. They suspect a tooling error and wanted to check the engines...

They probably have a few in stock right now.

The short needle isn't much different tuning wise. You will need to use a 1.5mm driver spacong for the gap between the idle needle head and outside of the carb instead of the 2mm used with the long...
