I had this issue with breaking in my 3 port...

I had this issue with breaking in my 3 port sport. I'm not sure if the 5 port has the same aluminum body carb as the sport models do but it soaks up heat just as fast as the motor and would vapor...

From reading that Shimming 101 article this is what I gather for my application (Losi 8ight 1.0 with a GO 3 port sport,Dynamite 086, 20% nitro)

Either no shim or a .1 shim for a total of .4mm...

No LVC on the XL5 ESC and none are compatible....

No LVC on the XL5 ESC and none are compatible. Never ran it to where it lost power or for more then 5-6 minutes on the track.

What kind of life are people seeing out of these motors? I bought a 3 port sport and at the 2 gallon mark its running great but I have a few people warning me that GO's blow up soon after that mark...
