Gear diff, no slipper, 17.5 all last season on carpet. No issues.

Gearing depends on track. I was mostly between 27 and 29 tooth pinion for small tracks. Most carpet tracks in the states tend to...

The 2wd SCT are really good for bashing because you can't put as much power down and they are significantly lighter. So that means you're not going as big, and when you tumble there's a lot less...

You want to race and bash a 4wd short course, there's only two reasonable answers: TLR and Tekno. I have raced both SCT410.3 and SCTE 3.0. For me, I prefer the TLR SCTE 3.0. It's more neutral,...

It is interesting that one of the popular bodies across several buggy classes right now is the JConcepts Silencer, which has a much lower front cabin than others. The TLR 22 4.0 kit body also has a...

Yeah, the Tekno layout is too aggressive for me. I just couldn't handle it. I like something much more neutral. Probably great for really tight and technical tracks, but I like having the weight...

Yeah, in the rear it would be perfect... but up front there's the motor on one side and the servo on the other. A little left-side heavy for sure!

The weight bias in this situation is very rear biased. Many newer kits are battery-forward, or at least give the option for such a layout, in order to get more weight up front. For most 1/8 scale...

Ha, today you have to have new batteries, charge at obscenely high rates, have the latest motor, etc., just to compete in... stock! In mod, anything is more than fast enough. A competitive stock rig...

People that run without a mount tape their battery in. Double-sided tape (like used on the ESC), no duct tape wrapped around the chassis type jobs! ;)

Perhaps any body can be made to work, but some fit better and some fit pretty badly. I ended up with a JConcepts HF2 body intended for my 2wd, but I had to run it on the SCTE. Yeah, doesn't fit very...

In a grassy park, I wouldn't run a 1/10 scale buggy. Not even if it was 4wd. I'd run an 1/8 scale. Any race kit really is going to meet your requierements, but I would probably narrow it to (in no...

Proline Flo-tek Fusion is great. When Maifield won the E-nats with the SCTE 3.0 last year, he ran the JConcepts Illusion. The stock body is really good too.

Just be careful... you risk making a few enemies at the club race. I'd recommend either converting it to the SCT or flipping it and buying either the SCT or the regular buggy.
