They have carpet tires for truck. Not aka but other brands. I think a real carpet tire would be better.

Schumacher mini pins rear.
Front:
Schumacher stagger rib, mini pins with outer rows clipped, or JConcepts Carvers (gold compound).

I've seen a local racer (Bob) have decent results with CityBlocks at our local turf track, though he recently switched to a pin tire from ProLine and then he started turning roughly the same fast lap time as me. CityBlocks were about 0.5 to 1 sec slower per lap on average. I'm running discontinued dBoots on my 4WD SC, and that tire tends to run a little more consistent based on what I'm seeing, both Bob and I are equally skilled drivers and here's some results to get an idea with his ProLine vs my dBoots:
Thornhill Racing Circuit :: Thornhill Jr 8/19/17 :: Mod 4wd Sc A1-Main :: LiveRC
dBoots are a little softer compound than the Z4 from ProLine which makes the truck a little easier to drive and less likely to traction roll. The harder the compound the more traction you get.... I might start experimenting with Z3's on the rear and Z4's on the front.
You also want to use the sanding drum on a dremel to grind off the pins of the outer 2 rows of pins on the front tires when running on turf.
I also ran some JConcepts GooseBumps, and they worked pretty well too, though they were wearing very fast... it's a tough balance to find the right compound for a turf track and I'd bet that every turf track is different when it comes to which compounds perform better.
