I've been in RC for a month now and started w/ a Losi 810... 3 days after buying it (new) the clutch spring broke and I've had 2 more issues w/ it since fixing it.
I looked at the Revo exploded engine and clutch on the traxxas website, and it looks like yours has the same kind of design: 2 pads and a hooked/looped spring. Did I read the parts explosion correctly?
If so, I'd get rid of that setup and get a Buku clutch. I know it's a pricey racing hopup, and my car has "basher" lineage, as does your Revo... but w/ a stock clutch spring that breaks as much as once a week and at $11 a pop (have to buy the whole dang clutch!!)... I think it's a steal! I haven't put mine in yet, but it is a very impressive design, TUNE-ABLE too. NO LOOPED SPRING TO BREAK, and increased tweakable performance. Their small block clutch will fit your Revo.
