I have a TMaxx 3.3 and the tanks does NOT have a built in filter. If you look at the bottom of your Revo tank where the fuel line attaches, if there is a little brass thingy down there (it's really fine brass pellets squished together) then there is no filter.
Get a fuel filter. They cost $8. A new TRX 3.3 will cost you $155.
