Flew the Cub SS yesterday in some strong winds. A good 20mph sustained breeze. Nothing like hovering on a horizontal plain.

Now the other part. The wind suddenly stopped while floating 20ft off the ground. It bit the dust pretty hard. Snapped the nose/motor/mount off, sheared both wings and ripped the lighting wires off. I was lucky that the servo wires didn't get peeled off as well. It's back together and tight ready for the next crazy stunt, minus lights.

Wait til I get to fly the big brother. LOL I have plans to video as much as I can. I found a place less then a mile away on a farm. It has a huge hill like mountain. I mean big. I want to get up there and do some STOL flying. Let it start down the hill and then pull back. Same going in for a landing. Fly in and follow the hill up then set it down.

Not being able to get it in the air yet, I've found a bunch of places I want to fly from. I don't have a go pro and was considering taping my Galaxy SIII phone to the plane to get video footage. LOL Wonder if anyone has tried that? I'd hate to have it fall of in flight. yikes...

I got a new camcorder and used it to record my buddy flying his Carbon Cub yesterday in snow on floats:
