Default Futaba Receiver Wire

Hi, I have a Futaba R2104GF receiver that the end is broken off (from where the gray covering ends). It is not a FAAST radio it is a 4PL-2.4g S-FHSS.
Is there a replacement wire for it and does anyone know how long it should be, mine is now 6 3/4" long.
Thanks

These will probably work. You'll have to take your receiver cover apart. The antenna should just unsnap and you can snap the replacement in place.

I broke an antenna on an R603FS receiver and found that an antenna from a Futaba R617FS receiver worked just fine (the plane it had been in had a crash and damaged the receiver).

The only real important length is the amount sticking out of the sheath (gray covering). If you are REALLY careful, you can cut the sheathing back with a razor blade, leaving the proper amount of antenna exposed. This is hard to do w/o cutting the antenna but can be done. These are quarter-wave antennas, and for the 2.4 ghz systems the amount needed is around 31mm.

Good luck!

Mark

Stripping the wire so the internal wire sticks out for 31mm is working fine, that will be the actial antanna with a piece of coax cable to the receiver.
