Default FrSky TFR4 puzzle. I'm stumped!

Transmitter is a Futaba 3PM 2.4Ghz - SS
Receiver is FrSky TFR4.

Binds fine. Solid green light. Throttle works fine. Turn the steering a few times and boom, loss of signal. Red light on FrSky flashes. Does it every time.

I have tried the receiver in another car with a different ESC and servo and the same thing happens.

I have two receivers and both do the same thing.

Both cars work fine with other radio equipment.

Totally bamboozled!

Help,

Jimmy

C1 mode? Is that the other mode from PPM? I think it's on PPM?

What should it be on?

The 3pm only has ppm and hrs mode, ether will work on the tfr4.

Have you tried a capacitor?

Savox servo?

Capacitor ordered. It happens with any servo. All seems a bit strange.

did you figure out this problem? I am having the exact same thing happen to my tfr4 and 4pks.. I installed the rx and had the car on a table at the track, was checking steering then suddently it stops responding, then few seconds later car goes off at full throttle down the table.. I was lucky my car didnt wreck.

Got home tested the other tfr4 and same thing happens.

4pk needs to be in c1 mode.

Sounds like a BEC problem too...

the 4pk was in c1 mode ofcourse, the car responds for alittle while. I have googled this problem and it happens with different controlles and different cars. It seems to be related to the savox servo and the tfr4 not being able to handle it.

I have two TFR4 and it happens to both of them so I stopped using them.
