The old program box wont work you need the DSB-R Plus Part # ORI65153

with my r8.1 I have the old DSB R programing box
I have
V1.15_150401 on the programing box
V1.1.0_150116 on the r8.1

Will I get some better(newer, more efficient) software if I update box and r8.1
with the DSB R+.

Can anyone compare the Orion R8.1 vs HW xr8? Seems to look similar and if they function the same I'd rather go the cheaper option. Thanks ulch

Searched everywhere for pro setups on the r8.1 and can only find stuff for the r10. Anyone have a good setup or link to a pro drivers setup?

I used mine all summer with no issues. It is super smooth. Used it in both buggy and truggy.

Fried a t8 2000, but that is because I ran too much timing and too big of a pinion.

good to hear. trying to find a esc that has more throttle control down low to mid. Seems like most these 1/8 esc's are light switches.
