Hey everybody,

I just picked up a rj speed godspeed boat in trade. The boat has a mystery esc that was suppose to be custom built esc. The esc is cover in liquid water proofing so I can find any markings on it. The boat is setup for 6s so I know the esc must be atleast 150 amps. The negative on the esc and on one of the batteries has a small lead coming off them. Does anybody know what these would be for? I have attached pics below. Thanks

Anti spark lead. You plug that in first, then the main battery leads. It's to prevent arcing when plugging in the main leads.

Since both battery wires have them, I would say bec hookups. Or maybe some lights or something.

Thanks Johnny that's exactly what they are. Is it common for them to get warm when you plug them up until you plug the main battery lead In? I would think so considering the amount of power going threw them until you plug the main cable in

One of the lines coming off the esc has the little line and then one of the batteries has it the second one does not
