What balance lead are you referring to?

.
the flimsy 9 pin connector cables that came stock with the icharger.

Based on that, whats the highest discharge rate I can expect with the 308 Duo, this for 2s 6000 MAH / 100c HV lipo's. PS. I dont have any other regenerative donor gizmo's etc. Just the power supply as mentioned.
Pick up a modified HP750 watt/ 62 amps, computer power supply. They can be had on Ebay, modified, for $40. I did my own cheap, for $15 shipped, and less than $10 for parts. Takes less than 20 minutes to mod, very easy.

You can find 75 amp units already converted, wrapped in carbon fiber and ready to go for $40 on ebay.

Default SD copy program

Just wondering if anyone has success transferring a saved program from a 308 to a 406?

I have saved a profile on my 308 but when I try to copy it to a 406 it doesn't see anything on the SD, so is this even possible or is is the 406 not working properly? It does recognize the SD when its inserted in the slot, just nothing there. I can transfer from 308 to 308 with no issues?

Thanks

Question for you experts - why does my 308Duo draw current from it's power source while discharging using the Regenerative mode?
Details: I have an 8S on CH1, a 400W resistive load on CH2, and i'm discharging using Regenerative TO CHANNEL mode. The 308 is powered by a 12v PSU and I have an ammeter attached to that 12v input source. When I start the discharge at say 15A, everything works beautifully and there are no problems to report, but I notice that my ammeter is showing about an 8A draw from the PSU. Why?

Thanks!

hello,
noob question... and Im sure this has been answered..

I just got a 308 duo. I have a discharge bank to go with it

question is how can I get this thing to discharge at 40amps

I keep getting errors and have gotten to the point of frustration.

what does each channel have to be at, meaning what does each tab have to be at?

which channel does the discharge bank go into, 1 or 2?

any help would be appreciated

thanks

Only difference is i set my voltage to 25volts. The discharge bank will get extremely hot!! At 12volts the bank will get barely warm and wont be as effective to bring down the ir of the lipo.

From what I know it's not possible to go from one model to another only to another one of same model

thanks. I had watched that video. I can only set the discharge to 30amps...

ill keep trying. is it because I have some setting off or wrong?

I set my voltage to max 33, and yes the bank got hot, with fans running on it.

Just got an icharger and one of the small server power supplies.

Looking for ideas on how people set them up on pit tables, trying to keep it as compact as possible.

Also looking for options to transport it, could easily just throw it in with my gear but thinking it would be nice to have a sort of case for it

A couple questions I'm having a hard time getting a good answer.

When setting my lipo to storage, I put two batteries on the charger in storage mode and change discharge/charge current to 6A or 1C of 6500mah batteries.

1. Is it ok to put two batteries at a time in storage and if so, at 1C/6.5A or should I leave it at the default of 2A.

Cycling batteries... Is there really a benefit for lipo batteries? And I've been cycling them two at a time, again changing amp to 6.5A per battery.

I guess I'm trying to figure out whether or not I should be performing these actions at the default 2A or can I achieve the same results, but quicker.. at 1C/6.5A.

If this makes sense. ??

It doesn't matter what charge rate when storage an doing two at time is fine.

Cycling coupled with a 40 amp discharge bank in the opposite channel is definitely vital to lowing internal resistance. But cycling two lipos at a time with out a discharge bank will not benefit much.

Thanks for the response.

I'm not sure I understand what you are saying with regards to cycling. If I cycle one lipo at a time without a discharge bank, just using the charger... will I be able to lower IR? I was told to routinely do this by someone at the track, but you are saying not much benefit. Can you explain or point me to more information?

Thanks again.

IR won't decrease unless you can raise the lipo's core temperature. I myself haven't tried it as I have always used an Icharger with a discharge bank. But wont hurt to try, max out the discharge current and run a cycle. you can hit the status button during the cycle to see if IR is decreasing.

Discharging at 30 amps on my new iCharger 406 with an add-on 40 amp discharger dropped my internal resistance four fold (8 to 2).

Will try discharging at 40 amps next time.

Really good charger...and discharger. Very happy.
