There's a ton of good info in this thread, but I haven't really seen much in the way of setups. I guess I'll just start where the manual suggests?
I'm looking for a good starting spot with 17.5 and 13.5 DUO3's, 2S touring car w/rubber tires on carpet. Tracks are in the 100x42 range, so a decent straight with a tight infield.
Also, has there been any trouble running this firmware on SP ESC's? I have a HW 2 in 1 and a SP 2.1 ESC and both took the new firmware without issue. The ESC seems to be running fine on the bench.

ESC: 120A Blue Spirit (obviously...)
Software: 110119MOD
Motor: MMH 4.5t (it's blue as well...)
FDR: 8.9
DRSS: 6
Endbell timing: Factory setting
Brakes: 75%
Drag brake: 0%
DDRS: 6
Boost Timing: 0° (so not using boost)
Turbo Timing: 20°
Turbo Ramp: Fastest
Turbo Delay: 0.2s
Have to say, it was a rocket... Motor was getting a little on the warm side, and given the ambient in Thailand will be a lot hotter, I may have to tone it down a little (probably knock the timing down a little).
The track I was testing on has two significant straights. The big straight that you come onto from a fast left right, so on to full throttle pretty quick, and a shorter one that is just long enough to get the turbo in before hitting the brakes... hence the shorter delay.
Regards

HOBBYWING 120 1S WITH 119 SOFTWARE
New software setup and tests on a XERUN-120A-1S ESC running the new 110119 stock software in 21.5 Touring car class.
Well the results are in. Run Sunday night 13/02/11 at a local track SERCCC (Melbourne Australia) on a flowing track setup. Three speed portions and four tight/hairpins sections. New set up on ESC only.
Michael Clarke (driver)
Car - XRAY T3 2011
FDR - 4.91
MOTOR - SP21.5 V3 SET TO ZERO DEGREE TIMING (Second motor used, first was fried due to incorrect settings)(blame the pit dude (me))
BATTERY USED - YUNTONG 5000 40C
TYRES - Muchmore 32 premounts
RADIO - Futaba 2PL
BODY - HPI MAZDA 6
CAR SETUP - Kit standard with a change to droop on rear
SETTINGS USED ARE LISTED BELOW ARE THE NEW SETTINGS FROM 13/02/11.
1 = 1
2 = 0%
3 = 3.4V
4 = 9
5 = 100%
6 = 25%
7 = 0%
8 = 6%
9 = 35
10 = 24
11 = ENABLED
12 = 24
13 = 3000
14 = 0.3SEC
15= 750
Results were again great acceleration and great top end culminating in a comfortable 3 out of 4 heat wins. Motor temps stayed around 55 degree.
Only the driver has to improve.
More setups to follow. Hope these setup options will be of help to all.
Cheers

can you change from supercharged timing advanced software to zero timing class with out a computor, will the 2 in 1 proram box do it? would be nice to be able to switch back and forth with out a computor.

Where can you buy the Xerun 120A 1S in the USA? I have found it on ebay for $117 shipped but takes 2-4 weeks for delivery...

This is my issue with that at the moment.
If I increase to 15 endbell which will be 45 motor timing plus 18 ramp esc timing plus 37 boost the heat will go up very quickly. We are in summer at the moment so heat is an issue. So yes I could either lower boost or fdr but I feel that the overall performance will be hampered. I compete on 2 tracks - 1 open and sweeping and other with a very technical infield.
These are my current settings - xtreme esc
FDR 4.5 - 21.5 ballistic
5+ motor endbell
Brakes 100%
Revers 100%
Drag brake - 0, then 10 then 40 (still no change in decelration)
Boost 37
Turbo 23
Ramp 18
Acc 150
DDRS max
I am not seeing anything unusual with any of that that would eliminate my brakes from working. What is interesting is that the brakes did work once but really frustrating the way they just didnt work all of a sudden. The only things that I have been playing with have been boost and acc so unless there is some malfuntion there I just dont know.
To add to this I also changed the trims (m11) to 160% brakes and exp to max - still nothing helped so I am at a loss

Just to clarify,when I say I am running 15 deg timing, that is 15 actual degrees. (so I am minus 15 from the N).
So with 1224 Fw I was running 15deg (End bell) 38 deg boost, and 8 deg Turbo. When I moved the timing (end bell) to 5 deg on the motor, it started to cog.
