Well here is my new scheme. I really like the way the green/grey/charcole turned out. And I know the the Decepticon logo isnt peroid, but... or is it... Oh and the custom USVTA series driver meatballs came out great.

Regarding the X-acto wandering around, an old trick we used to use was to break the tip off of the blade. This made it effectively stiffer, reducing "walking".

I must add a 70's Mustang to my collection one day!

I took my showroom stock 68 Camaro SS, I've been driving around the track, applied some racing stickers and numbers, now she's a bonafide VTA racer

I like the panels on that silver 68 Camaro. Those took some time huh?

This is a PROTOform Trans Am. Beautiful body before you paint it. The colors and scheme were selected by a local racer friend. I think he's going to like it! The black numbers with silver outlines were cut from liquid mask. They show up, but aren't loud. I think its a good scheme.

I normally take pictures outdoors. The colors look better. But, its 6 below zero where I am. I'm too much of a weenie to do that today! So, these inside shots will have to do. I'll deliver the body tomorrow.

That has got to be one of the best "patina'd" lexan bodies I've seen! Awesome work!

Quick question guys: which VTA bodies are the sturdiest?

The reason I ask, I ordered a Challenger body from Tower (my first body) and this thing is horribly thin, especially the nose. It's the flimsiest body I've ever had my hands on. Maybe I'm just spoiled by off-road bodies?

Although... I remember now that the nose of the Firebird was actually molded urethane and wouldn't be rusty.

Yeah, I went back and forth on that. In the end I went for looks. It looked kinda silly when I put the extra nose on the car and it wasn't rusted. I faded it a bit but still just looked out of place.
