Great video!
Can you post some photos and list more about the car? eg. battery type/size, gearing, speed control settings etc.

Took off the typical 8th scale body, put on a 8th scale McLaren GT body, went 1 tooth up on the pinion, and this is the result!

Runtime 7 minutes.....
Topspeed 114kmh

A 8th scale car has a wheelbase of 300mm...

This body will fit.

Awesome looking car and track. But, I have to ask, don't you get tired of running the exact same layout all year, year after year?

This weekend we finally had the shakedown of our 1/8 electric car.
I think the amount of power is 90% there, just need a little more topspeed.
Now we can focus on improving the handling, you can see in the video it's nose heavy which causes a lot of understeer.
A new design to cure this has already been made and hopefully we can test this within two weeks.

Hi DS Motorsport,
do you have already revised you car design for more steering?
If you need more topspeed you can change the gearing.

I run the car with a roll-out of around 45mm, depending the tyre diameter, I change the gearing to get around this 45mm.
The car handles great, until I run out of front tyres.
In my case, because we don't race these cars yet, I use left over tyres from my nitro car.

No, not really, or actualy really not!
I run the 8th scale nitro nationals also, so I run on different track anyway.

The nice thing about the same layout, is that you really can compare week to week, or even year to year, If you are faster or not.....

Any chance you could post more and bigger pictures? The picture on the website is pretty small.

Hi David,
I'll update the pictures asap. the rollout was this Sunday...and I've only some older pictures without motor/controller an lipo.
Christoph has to rework some prototype details...I'think after some modification -and with a higher grip level- the track time will go down again (11.49 should be possible)
If the grip level is high you should be 0.4 till 0.5 seconds faster than the nitro 1/8 cars
