1/10th pan car
Anyone know the width of a associated Nissan GTP body? Is it for 190/200/235? Is it a good pan car body?

If I work this out correctly, maybe I can give one of these a try back to back with my C10X. Eric what do you think???
If I do, I'll post info!

Wide pan cars and bodies that I have measured are narrower at the front than the back. A virgin 10L measured 212 mm or so at the front, 235 mm wide at the back which is also the measure on my cars. This fits all the bodies well. It is no trouble spacing the rear of any pan car out to 235 mm with a standard wide pan car axle (and an extended pinion if it has a narrow rear pod).
The Nissan GTP body at stormer is for a wide pan car. Aproximately 235 mm at the back 214 mm at the front. Nice body. Works great.
The dark force car can be made wide. I never see axle parts in their photos so I don't know how it actually comes to you. You may have to purchase the wide rear axle and wide right hand hub plus spacers.
I believe previously Darkside reported on a thread that the tall LiPo from Orion would fit. There are two nice photos of the car earlier in this thread.

well i got into my 10l3t today to see what all i could change to help with the spinouts.. i added a little length to the center shock to give it some droop.. maybe just a turn or so.. then i changed the oil to 25wt casue that is what i had (i'll try to get some 20wt before i run) and i changed the spring to black.. the T plate we discussed is "carbon" and when i removed it, i could readily tell that is as actually MUCH SOFTER than the standard fiberglass one i have and it is probably 25% thinner.. should i have changed it anyhow? the rear end definately feels more supple than before... can't wait to run it again...

Where are you running and on what type of track?

i'm running on a medium bite unprepped asphalt track.. the other place i run has even less traction...
Try turning your dual rate down on you radio.

Reporting back some results from my previous tuning / suspension questions on my RC10LSS. Set toe in to 0.5 degrees each side, 6 cell saddle pack with 3 cells per side at rearmost position, rebuilt diff and replaced bad diff bearing, 19 turn motor, foam tires on carpet. Car hooks up like its on rails. Straight, no wander. No tendency to spin out once tires warm up and any excess traction compound rubbed off. Very smooth and easy to handle. Needs drag brake at the end of the straights. So I have to seriously ask, why are we fascinated with 4wd cars on carpet? This rwd car has all the traction it needs. I'm really impressed with this old car.
probably because pan car has been around forever. people like new stuff. they like to look at marketing propaganda and think, "i could be the next joel johnson in this new class"
other issues.. gotta be masami to wheel one like a champ at mach 9 without flying off the track.
the oval guys 'slowed' down to slower motors which in turn got faster over the years. there's still only a handful of those guys who dare 6 cell mod. 3 second laps at snowbirds. you just cant turn marshal it fast enough.
so its a handful on the lefty/righty as well. I enjoy it when i get the chance to run. but stock and 19 are a good place to begin again. - not that mod isnt a ball if ya have the track for it.
i might be taking the L2 over to strickland next weekend. we'll see.

Still, on an 1/8th scale outdoor track, there's nothing like a 10th pancar with 6cells and a Novak 3.5!
Hey guys someone said about Gene Husting and videos of 10th scale pan cars, here's a good one i found, from the 90s:
