Question
Guys,
Are you having issues with the con rod for this engine? Does it wear out fast? i am planning to get one of these after reading the reviews, but i was warned about the issues with the con rod. Can any kind soul advise on this?
Thanks.
Aaron

I have about 2 galons on mine. Im not an expert tuner, by far, I know I overheated it a couple of times. One time I was trying a new pipe and the engine came off the track at 360 degrees. I too was worried about the engine, as my previous expirience with Piccos wasnt so good. But I havent had any problems yet, and Im even thinking about getting another one.

I put the red dot in my nt1 yesterday and man i have to say this engine is just as fast as my max sl3, well before it blew up, i put a few tanks in at idle, and about 5 tanks at half throtle on the starter box, put it on the ground for a few more tanks and this thing is pulling hard and still alot of smoke comming out the exaust, will see what happens in the next few days as i lean it out some more, by the way i'm using my max 2602 pipe and header seems to be working really good, still can't belive this engine is $200!! Its not as nice as the max and doesn't look and feel as precise as the max but who cares its just as fast though

While being on the question of pipes, has anyone tried the ofna/picco .12r part # 51900 model pipe on the engine?

I asked that question a few weeks ago and didn't get a response. I saw that Nitrohouse has 'em for $60. I did get the 2067, but haven't got past the heat cycles as far as break-in. A fellow racer that I'll see at the track this weekend has a new 51900 in his parts box. I'm gonna see if I can try it out to compare.
