i wonder how this engine compares to the CRF.....

also for those who have it, how hard was the VERY first start for the engine?

my previous nova rossi was a pain in the a$$ to start the first time, this engine seems to have a looser fit, is this engine still hard to start?

You will be surprise how easy this engine starts on the first try and how easy is it to break in.

Sorry to repeat part of my post, but I need help fast. I will be buying the red-dot or a os tz 5 port before the weekend is over. Price is the same, so I am just concerned with performance. Could someone please give insight into the acceleration, top speed, and ease of tune. Which engine has the advantage in each. I appreciate all replies.

Yes, I know the os 5 port is outlaw. At the track where I race at, the only restriction is that it has to be .12. I wont be racing anywhere else. For me, it comes down to price and performance. These 2 engines are the same price, so I was just trying to figure out what the performance differences would be. Anyone own both? or have thoughts? Thanks...

The JL will give you a good run time of 5 1/2 to 6 minutes, whereas the 5 port motor won't.

Sorry I am hung up on the plug issue, but no one around here has picco plugs. I can get mega and ofna/picco. Does anyone have an online place to order picco plugs or will the above mentioned work fine. Thanks again

As mentioned in post #209, Mega plug will work, also Ofna/PICCO is a PICCO plug.

You forgot to mention that I also recommended the Skyline VR 12 PLUS pipe with the Short or medium Nova Rossi conical Header. the only reason why I recommended the IDM 2617 pipe kit is because it already came with a conical header that is tailored for a PICCO based engine.
