Cool help tuning an lrp .30

I recently got back into nitro with an rc8t I got off my local craigslist. The motor it came with was shot and I decided to drop an LRP .30x in it. I've broke the motor in and have started leaning it out. The problem is that I'm getting this high idle after running full throttle. I get the motor warmed up (not sure on actual temp. But I'm leaving a good smoke trail and have burnt about half a tank) when I bring the truck to a stop it idles high. If I blip the throttle the motor settles down and idles fine. when I go to take off again it is too rich. I'm thinking I need to lean the lsn, but when I do, it seems to make the problem worse. I've tried leaning the hsn, but that doesn't seem to help either. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx, Micah

have you checked your idle gap? that needs to be set first. usually .7mm-1.0mm

+1 to above statement (check your idle gap)

My lrp 30x acts the other way around the last time I went out, lol

ps: half tank to warm up not break-in, right?

The half tank is to get it warmed up. I'm almost through my first gallon of fuel with this motor. I ran five tanks to break it in. Then started tuning for power. Maybe my idle gap is set too wide. I'll have to check that later tonight.
