My flashpoint has really come around. It still has not dropped all the metal pinch, so the motor still not fully broke in. I ran 8.5 minutes pits this past weekend and still had a good amount of fuel left afterward.

I was using a 6.5 restrictor and a 2090 pipe. No back plates or other trickery. This motor was on point.

I feel pretty good about 9 minute pits and maybe even 10 once fully run in and fine tuning.

I was able to grab these this weekend!

JPZ do you have your needle settings. I just got one of these and will be running the same setup as you. Any info would be great to use as a reference point.

I am not sure what my settings are? I can measure my needles with calipers if you like. That is not something I usually do lol. I kept tuning until it was right, good top, crisp on bottom, clean idle, no pinging. I dont ever use temp guns , only on break in. Just to be sure its getting hot enough.

Yeah just the caliper settings. I have the stock settings that flashpoint sent, wasn't sure how far off yours are from that due to the smaller insert and pipe changes. And I never tune to temp either. If she isn't pinging, lean bogging, and blowing smoke she is good to go!

copying needle settings is worthless unless your engine went through the same amount of fuel as the other engine.

My FP02 was awesome during the 5 minute qualifier .... in the 20 minute main, it flamed out due to low idle setting.

I live in North Florida, I am thinking of using a P4 plug in my FP02. Has anyone tried a P4 plug?

No. No reason to run any engine without the restrictor.
