Default Flashpoint engine

Looks like their is another budget minded engine availble soon. Anyone know who makes this engine? I am thinking it might be a rebranded O.S. if that is the case this might be a great little engine.

Looks like Flashpointrc.com doesn't have it available yet. I'm curious if its the OS XR-B V2 or the OS XZ-B V2.

either one would be nice to try depending on the price. Im sure they wont be more than O.S. otherwise no one would buy them.

I agree to a certain degree. Don't disagree with what brand is being marketed, they are making moves.

The plan is to finally do the bench running next Saturday and finish up in the cars on track Sunday.

One of the two is now fully broken in.
I was not able to set it on kill due to very limited track time.
I can tell you that it is on par top end with everything out there.
Very strong bottom end.
Suppose to test this weekend and I'll report back.

A friend of mine at the track had a flashpoint engine in his truggy. He said it was identical to the OS Tessman edition but with a DLC crank. He really liked the engine and it seemed to run well.

Have you ran or did any testing on the new FP02? One guy told me he had issues with it leaning out 5-6 minutes into each tank. He said he replaced the 21J carb with the older FP01 carb and he didn't have anymore issues. I'm just wondering if anyone else had the same leaning issues?

Have you tried running different carb reducers and pipe combos? What is different about the FP02 engine specifically, that would make it have worse mileage than the standard OS engines it's based on?
