Yeah... Als also we havn't seen much from the BP (engines) car that was develloped, also the BMT (Old motonica design) looks like to have a slow dying And the HB R8 was totally doomed when HPI and HB did go appart..

Maybe you can purchase the kit now ZF Concepts Z4.
Roelof: I always thought the BMT, ARC & Capricorn were all linked in production.

About the BMT: BMT is back in 1:8
ARC has never been related to the Italian products but as it is a later developped car than the Capricorn then yes, with all new brands you probably see some same design features from other cars. Only thing I have heard is that the gears of the gearbox are the same with ARC. It could be a choice to save money or maybe the gears are produced in Asia and offered on the open market and yes, they also can be a copy.

No worries, I did read the BMT thread. Seems an odd move to me for Capricorn to sell C801 left over bits to BMT.
Definitely a cross over of a few parts between the Capricorn and ARC 8th scale and thought was some kind of relationship their as Capricorns electric tourer in the past has been the ARC.

In case of BMT I can imagine if you want to re-enter a market and do not want to design a car then you buy or just copy a design.
And in the base the BMT was not a bad car, the lack of topdrivers and devellopment dat does win races did not help to make it a succes I think. And although BMT has a wide history, many racers today do not know that. And that is a problem for many of todays brands, one brand has bought up many toplevel drivers that there isn't much left for the other brands. Lucky amoung the normal drivers there is still a trust and loyalty for the other brands but I do see the effect of "what wins on Sunday, sells on Monday".

Oh yes! The ARC electric touring was in design copied by many, I believe even the Serpent S400 or 411 had used some design features. As also the Infinity IF18 started as a Mugen MRX5 copy and their IF14 started as a grab of parts from Xray and Kyosho from where they made a final design.
