Me too, Car was awesome, I remember when everybody was running NTc3's and Mugen Mtx2's. I stepped out and got a "TEAM BLACK MAGIC G4e class". Car was awesome! Put the smack down on Em all, only prob with that 1 was the sliding rail steering rack had some serious bind in it, But they later fixed that...... I remember Dario belistri and the other British guy won a lot of races with TM, Dario's last euros win with TM was against X-rays also. Car was the truth!!

Just weighed my g4 1643g minus fuel. I also just weighed my ntc3, 1210g minus foams and foam bumper. Ntc3 almost a pound lighter!

I'm going to restore the rail steering. I'm doing a low friction treatment to parts and installing dense foam and maybe some bellows to keep dirt off the steering. I aye also do a lipo receiver battery and low profile servos to make room in the tight wiring mess I have now. I just have to make sure servo won't interfere with front bulkhead.

Anyone using low profile servos for steering? If so what brand and on? Any deviation from my airtronics servo in mounting flange to servo arm height could make it rub the front bulkhead or radio tray.

I'm gonna try the new reedy off my ntc3 and consider that low profile unit first.

I just picked up an old G4S for $100 with an oddball engine. It says NOVA down one side, but has a big "M" and a 12 on the other side. The carb also has a "M" on it. Any help identifying this would be GREATLY appreciated.

It is a MUGEN named Nova Rossi MT12 engine. Back in the days...(year 2000 ish) was a great racing engine but it is nothing compare to now a day racing engine. It is something good to start for sure.

Thanks! I'm hoping that it will start. I just got a box and need to get a 12v for it. Any tips on plug heat and nitro percentage?

Any glow lighter will start...it use standard engine plug. Nitro should use anything 20%. No need to be specific, you just want to get it started and run.

Glad to see this thread its still live on..

Here in Indonesia, we had One Make Race series for G4JR with standard SH12 engines.
We have run this series about 3 years. Control tyre is Speedmind 40F/37R

Check this site www dot jakartagp dot com

It is not unusual, with proper setup (mostly shock spring, Fromt Diff) the box standard G4JR could have very close lap time with open class 1:10 200mm cars such as Xrays and Serpents

I'm still working on my .12

The chassis is done and just waiting for little odds n ends.

If all goes well, final assembly on my Motor tomorrow. Gonna replace bearings if I can press em out.

Dunno if I've got enough posts to post up some pics; I will check.

A friend gave me a Team magic g4 le mans and I am debating if I should sink some money in it or not. Where can I get parts for it and can I convert it to a touring car? Thanks in advance

I just picked G4 up a month back with out motor so put a Vox.12 in it will sell if some wants it ?
