Here's the setup I used in the main this last club race. Still testing it but it feels pretty good. The photo of the car shows how I used the front flex system.

Talking Arcadia State Race impressive 977

Ran the 977 this past weekend at Arcadia FL State Race. The new 977chassis is incredible. It reacted as expected to every single slightest set-up change I made on from Friday's practice through Sunday's mains. Very happy with this car. I can't wait to run the 977 this summer to refine my set-up.

Finished 7th in the A-Main Open class.

Thank you to Paolo, Ernesto and Desoto Racing for all their help. Novarossi Keep-on motor was ballistic.

Paulie B

PS. Gianfranco my son, ran my 966. He was a real happy camper of course

Ran my Viper for the first time on Sunday and was blown away by how responsive the car is compared to my 966 and RX8. Superb level of grip, great balance and amazing pace, all on just stock set up.

I went back to 3 hole pistons all round with 1000CST oil and found the car better as my home track is undulating and bumpy.

What is the purpose of adjusting the aluminium eccentric inserts on the front knuckles and how is the effect different from pushing the front top arm forward and backwards to alter caster ?

We tested this at the last club race. The inserts in the front knuckles change the setup like a drastic caster change. As shown in the setup I posted above, with the inserts towards the front of the car, I felt that the car had a lot more off-throttle steering in the corner. It was very aggressive with the setting like this. If you change the insert completely opposite, the car seems very planted in the corner, and therefore not as aggressive. It all depends on your driving style
