Personally, I see one being added to my collection very soon.
Yeah, theres a pic showing it being easily removable. Lets hope by using two shock towers instead of one, it will be able to hold on. I have seen too many shock towers being broken in RRR's. Or hopefully kawahara or 3Racing will make one with 4mm. Never have broken a shock tower on my mtx-3.

Honestly speaking, this is what should have been the MTX-3 (what many of us MTX-2 owners thought Mugen would do to the next car). It took them three years but they finally gave us the car we Mugen owners had been looking for. It would be nice if they supplied an optional front body post mounting plate for use with Lola bodies (a scaled down one from the MRX-4). I wonder if an optional floating rear suspension assembly (like from the older Serpent 235mm and 1/8th scales) will be forthcoming? (Forgive me for using the S-word in this thread)

Now looking at the shocks, I hope they didnt make them easy removable shocks at the bottom nor the top. Because on other cars made by the S-Word and the K-Word always have had problems with them coming loose during races.

that's your on fault... the serpent shocks need to be screwed, not just ripped off... the mrx4 has this same system, i gues the mtx4 will have it too....

Wait and get the MTX-4. Why get the old car when you can get the new car. This is unless you are heavily into racing. Then, get the MTX-3 prospec for club racing and the MTX-4 for big venue racing, like I will eventually do (I already own the MTX-3 so the MTX-4 I will get will be for big races).

with 4 screws holding the whole top diff cover and shock tower (worst in the rear because it also includes the body posts), i hope we won't need "the fix"

but all in all, the car looks really good. i wanted to see a left side brace (close to the engine). but i really like the quick diff change.

are you guys taking preorders already

for those who are not familiar with "the fix" - a few years back, it was a screw and long nut that were a must have in the NTC3 days to save those bottom diff halves where the top screws on.

MTX4 looks impressive and has potential.... but why only two screws holding the rear shock towers ? Isn't that a weak point ? see the pic....
