Guys:

My tweak station is telling me that my 1/8th on-road is tweaked. I've pre-loaded the left rear shock 2.5 mm more than the right rear shock...this seems to clear the tweak.

What could be causing the tweak...shocks are identical length, sway bars have been removed (same tweak)..

What are the usual suspects for a tweaked car.

Bent chassis, or unbalanced laterally would be the first things I checked. Also, check that the shocks are equal length L/R.

check all your balls studs...one could be bent if you've had any good smacks lately.......

Also make sure your pillow balls aren't too tight and your hinge pins are straight...any binding in the suspension could introduce tweak.

try a different set of rear springs...try the tweak station on a different surface making sure it is balanced...how does the front check out on the car?

I think a portion of the problem is related to how I measure the tweak...

I was using the integy tweak board....tried out the Hudy tweal station and the tweak show a LOT better...big difference between the two...

All this to ask.....what is the best tool/favored method for measuring tweak?

I also use the Integy board and have never had any issues with it; always get consistent, repeatable results with every car I've put on there. Not meaning to contradict you, just trying to help nail down the problem.

If all else fails, you could try the ol' scalpel-blade-under-the-middle-of-the-chassis method. Not that elegant, but it should get you close.

there are those that would tell you to 'feel the force'. its true that you can feel it, set the car on a flat level surface and try lifting the front left or right wheel or the rear left or right wheel. your feelings are more precise than you think.

as for finding the source of the imbalance, one debugging approach that has helped me is to just start switching parts left to right until the problem flips sides.

usually i find a bent axle or pillow ball or something, but swapping parts can help isolate the cause.

I've got a fancy Hudy Setup Solution with Tweak Station
Although I use the Tweak Station, I've found that it gives inconsistant readings IMO, and it's one of the better ones! It's a good guide, but never take it as gospel
If it doesn't look or feel right, then somethings up
I always check the car manually afterwards

I have used a couple of different types, most of which were the balance bubble type. The Hudy All in One Set up Station it is the most accurate. The tweak station does not NEED to be sitting on a level table in order to use it. It uses the set up camber and caster stands so that you know they are the same size and they have the alignment pins in the bottom to make sure that you set it on the Tweak Station the same every time

That looks identical as far as gradations to my Integy...wouldn't be surprised if they were made by the same manufacturer. And I also use the laser instead of relying on the bubble.
