Which starter box do I need

Which starter box do I need
I'll be running a Mugen MRX-3 with a Picco G1 XP-21. Will any starter box work? I'm actually wondering if the Picco G1 XP-21 can use one of those roto system type starters.

Those Roto starters aren't that great for racing.
Anyways, any starter box should work. But you should get one with a 12v high torque motor.
Ofna makes a starter box. The model is "Ofna Narrow 1/10-1/8 Pink 12v Starter Box". Powerful enough for .21 engines.

Buy a proper starter box and save yourself a lot of money in the long run.

I don't think you can adapt the power start unit to the G1. You have to basically convert the motor over to a pullstart. It would be cheaper to use a starter box.

I used the Pink Ofna box with the motor sticking out the side to start my car. It was also an MRX-3 with the Picco XP motor.

Is there a way to use a cell pack instead of that huge 12v battery with the Ofna Pink starter?

I don't know about that but the 12volt gel cell is much better. It lasts longer, doesn't lose voltage as quickly and did I mention it lasts longer?
