the kyosho box is good, but get the JLR box if you can. its cheaper and you can power it with a single 3 cell lipo (I assume you have a lipo/nimh type charger, if not then the orion avionics or whatever replaced it is good)

amain doesn't have it, but check out http://www.nitrohouse.com/catalog/pr...oducts_id=8789 and look at their catalog as well. you can save a lot ordering certain things from nitrohouse.

sorry I can't help you on the manifold/exhaust for the 18, nobody runs them in touring cars that I know of...

Now, I am a newb here but not to building and modifying nitro road cars. My first was an HPI Nitro RS4 3 SS 10 years ago. I've been out of the scene for many years and am very behind on the advances in tech and brands/quality so that's why I have come here asking for your help! I don't race in any specific class, I'm only out to have fun, but want the best now that I can afford it and have the experience.

I'm primarily looking for recommendations for engine/pipe/header, 2.4GHz pistol grip system, and HD servos.

A) Who currently makes the best HD servo kit right now for this? Nothing fancy, just precise and tough as nails.

B) What is bar-none the baddest, fastest, most powerful engine I can slam in this bad boy?! Some huge insane sick ass Picco? Anything more over the top out there?! Simple question huh lol! How about a great header/pipe to go with it?

C) Since I'm not hard core pro racer, there are allot of features I am seeing on the top-of-the-line radio systems out today that I simply don't have need for. What is the best quality 2.4GHz pistol grip system available without being too much and not being "cheap". I want something with a great feel, range, reliability, etc.

I guess I'll ask for 1 more suggestion, wheels/tires. I do allot of drifting as well and have always had big problems keeping tires on the wheels no matter what combo or adhesive I tried in the past. I've seen the new foam sets. Which of them will hold up the best to the abuses of drifting?

Thanks!

Murnan modified sells some of the fastest most reliably motors out there the rb m3 is insane

I just made this portion of the purchase:

Discount Coupons (CALPJAN1025): $-25.00
CA TAX 8.25%: $82.48
Total: $1,082.21
______________________________________________

Congrats to me I'll be making the final $588 worth of the purchase next week. I'm still not 100% sure on the header/pipe I'll be going with. Here is what will be included in my next purchase:
Futaba 3PM-X 3-Channel 2.4Ghz FASST Radio System w/R603FF Receiver [FUTK2021]
Kyosho Multi Starter Box Pro 2.0 [KYO36209]
Stickman RC Futaba NiMH Transmitter Battery Pack (2500mAh) (3PK/3PM) [SRP2500-FUT]
Muchmore Racing Instant Rubber Tire CA Glue (20g) [MMRCHCAR]
Byron Originals 20% Ready-to-Run Gen2 Car Fuel (Quart) [BYR3130213]
Team Orion Marathon 1600MAh 1/8 Off Road Stick Receiver Pack [ORI12228]
Team Orion Super Duty Plus 6 Cell NiMH Double Pack w/Tamiya Connector (2) (7.2V/3000mAh) [ORI10901]
O.S. P3 Turbo Glow Plug "Ultra Hot" [OSM71641300]
Pro Exotics PE-1 Temp Gun (Tempgun.com) [PEXPE-1]
Kyosho Adjusting Tool For Clutch Spring [KYO80160]
Team Losi Deluxe Nitro Starter Kit [LOSA99072]

Once I get used to it, have the suspension dialed in, and find a local track (if there is one!) then I'll most likely buy a .12 engine so I can compete.

This stuff is priced great compared to track days with my Ducati lol! I regret ever getting out of nitro road cars and I need to start spending less time and money on my cars and bikes.

I'm also going to buy an HPI RS4 3 for my 10 year old son to start on and an electric for my 6yr old to play with. I'm just waiting for my oldests next report card before I pull the trigger, I already bribed him with it if he gets great grades again in GATE lol.

O.S. specifically states it will on their web site.

Thanks, I know. That's why I mentioned that I might buy a .12 later on if I choose to compete for real.

Have it built, I posted pictures on another site, I'll post them here later when I can.

Quality is good although the kit was missing 1 nylon nut for mounting the gas tank, the allens included in the kit almost stripped the heads of the bolts holding the rear shock mounts, and the holder for the radio switch doesn't quite fit the Futaba switch well.

I just barely have the suspension all dialed in to base settings and I only have 6 or 7 tanks through it breaking in the engine.

Seems great so far! I'm looking forward to adjusting the clutch and finally driving it!

Wondering which one is best quality wise.

Default fuel filter

you realy don't need one but where you put it is okay it gives some volume to the air coming into the tank and helps keep it constant, but if you chose to leave it there remove the filter inside
