Some low profile servos would save 2x15grams, and the body should be around 100 grams so car would be around 1600gr range. Considering the car has a lot of aluminum parts, it couldnt be lighter.

But what did Capricorn do to the car to get it that light?.
Because my NT1 is very lightweight as well (1590 with bare rims) but that took some real work to get it that light. For instance I run two low profile servos and a very light lipo (42 grams). And offcourse the regular Ti stuff and hollow axles.
But looking at the car I can't see where Capricorn found more pieces to safe weight on. Does it use the plastic and aluminum diff internals?.

It uses plastic diff gears(about 1/6 of xray gear weight) and light cross pins.

The rear stabilizer rod is made of alloy.
Maybe that's the secret...or we should measure the chassis plate thickness...

Diff gears are made of a composite mix material quite similar to the suspension parts. Diff axles are made from 7075 alloy. Rear dogbones and front swingshafts are of alloy (steel pin) and half the weight of the XRAY bones and shafts. Wheel hubs are one-piece of steel and machined to be light. Only the drive train saves about 35g compared to an XRAY whose parts are interchangeable with the Capricorn ones.

Hope the composite diff gears will last, haven't purchased them for my NT1 because I had my doubts about durability.
Btw as a tip to everyone who is running the capricorn car: check the aluminum driveshafts regularly. I used them on my Xray this year and one of the driveshafts broke on the last race. I was leading the race quite comfortably so it sucked.
The end of the driveshaft, which holds the pin, was completely snapped off.
So I would advice checking the shafts regularly.
Or replace them after a half season.
