Also,

Does any one know how much the stock chassis plate weights please??

Pretty Pretty please, I don't want to strip down my car to weight just the chassis alone, maybe someone has a spare chassis they can throw on the scales?

Reading back through this thread, one person says it saves 100grams (which is awesome) and another guy said only 30grams....

Thanks
I replaced only the screws on top of the car and it saves 30gram.
This are more than half of the total screws, so i think if you replace them all it will save 50-60gram

Naked bare 733 chassis weighs 127 grams. Which is pretty heavy. My mugen 4mm only weighed 107 grams. Kawahara mtx4r 3mm was around 88 grams.

Since the 733 chassis does not have a cutout for the battery this adds alot of weight

Hi there,
How you use the dls with or without rear bar?
I tried today without and the car was rear lose, set the camber to 2,5 toe in 3,0. 47,7mm dls downstops to 3mm and -1 front. Rear was shorter 2mm. Front -1.
Any help?
Thxs,

Thxs,
No sway bar for me

Check for binds

How was tire wear? Coning to out side or inside? May need more camber

When I use it I run more camber than that. I would start with 3.5 on the left and 4 on the right. IMO this worked better for me and yes, make sure there is no binding.

Yes everything is loose, moves freely. You can leave wheel base -2, just add more camber.

I would like to speak about the weight reduction ...is it neseccary?Definetly puting away some grams makes the car faster end easier to drive but is this right ?I think that the car as it comes from the factory has everything in it carefully designed and chosen ...So i dont see the need to put light weight parts and make the car less durable ...

the only think that we can change without problems as i saw here is the screws ...where we can find this set how much does it cost ?

Reducing rotating mass is always a good thing:

-CSO Light weight 2speed shaft
-CSO/Serpent Light weight brake disc
-Xceed composite diffs

Static weight is also a plus:

-Low profile servos (eg Futaba 9551s)
-LiPo Reciever pack
-Xceed Ti Screws

Then you have other things like:

-Lightweight bodies (eg Protoform make normal and "light weight versions, there is 15g difference between the two)
-Lightweight wheels (Capricorn save about 20g all round compared to normal rims)

If your a normal club driver, 50grams won't do much to your times. But if your searching for that 0.1 or 0.2 on the limit, then saving weight is a must.

But then again, improving the efficiency of your car will probably yield the same result (eg ceramic bearings, low friction belts, etc)

no compensation for a driver aid then ? how can we lighten the drivers a bit ? haha first thing first, no point lightening the car and doing this and that, if your off teh track every 4th or 5th lap . concentrate on setup, and consistancy, then when that arrives, work on making the car that bit faster, and lighter.
