The belt tensionor is kind strange on design. If I mount it on top of 2F, it doesnt hold the belt tie enough even the bearing goes all the way down. However, if I mount it under 2F (like some explained back at Aug), belt get too tied even the bearing goes all the way up.

Any suggestion? (black belt, new assembled)

I am using it under the radio tray with the black belt and all the way soft. It works fine and is very free. I am have been using the original black side belt since I have been running the car. I have only had to change the rear and front when needed.

Like DJ I have been running it under the radio tray. Although I have only had to replace the rear and side belt since running the car. No issues with the front belt.

I ran there this past weekend and my car was pretty good. I will post my set-up on the main serpent site in the next couple of days. Here is my set-up without the set-up sheet.

front

middle roll center
short wheel base
2.2 sway bar
-1 toe
198 width
5mm caster in front of arms
35 shore (twister tires) 57mm
2 camber left and 1.5 right
forward and out on the ackerman
-1 droop
blue springs with 800wt oil, 1 hole piston and 2nd hole from bottom
150,000 front diff

rear

lowest roll center
short wheel base
2.3 rear sway bar
199 width
1mm under camber link on hub
camber link on tower is lowest outside position
+2 toe
rear springs with 800wt, 2 hole, 2nd position from bottom
4 camber left and 3 right
3 droop
40,000 diff oil
40 shore (twister tires)

Nova motor - 353 tuned, 2652 pipe/short header
Gearing - 17/60, 23/55 ( mid range is more important than top, just to note)
Altis Blitz body
Twister Tires

Things I will try next time. Middle roll center in the rear, stiffer rear sway bar, a little heavier diff in rear. The front seemed pretty good, maybe just the lowest roll center position to see how it reacts.

Till next time!!!

I also ran this past weekend at Kissimmee and this is what I ran.

Front

long wheel base
Middle roll center
track width 199
Stock sway bar/flush
2deg camber
2mm caster
ackerman back & wide
-1 toe out
blue spring/#1 piston/ 900 cst oil/2nd hole from bottom
200,000 cst in diff
35 or 37 shore twister
ride ht 6mm
-1 droop

Rear

1mm short wheelbase
roll center bottom
track width 200mm
2.3 sway bar
3 toe in
4 camber
link=2mm shim on upright/inside hole
link=inside hole second from bottom
red spring/#2 piston/900 cst/2nd hole from bottom
6.5 ride ht
50,000 cst in diff
droop 3mm
40 or 42 shore Twister

gearing 17/23 60/54 with a Novarossi 353 tuned '08
Blitz Altis 2.3 wing 5mm back.

I tried 40fr/45rr in the B main but it didn't work all that well for me. I could not get on the power as it was just too loose on power.

Our drivers did a great job gathering a lot of info for the upcoming WC as well as having a great result in the Main.

Did you try the spool? Or was the traction not really high enough to go with the spool?

I tried it, but the diff was better. The turn are more open and flowing now and the lock was not carring enough corner speed. Maybe with more time I could get it better, but with running both cars I was limited to the work I could really do.
